Spherion-South Central WI & Northern IL is Hiring a Procurement and Inventory Specialist Near Madison, WI

Salary: $25 - 30 per hour none
Reference: S_151464

We are looking for a Procurement and Inventory Specialist to join the 1st shift team of an innovative radiation therapy device manufacturer! The Materials Specialist will perform transactional activities using ERP processes to support production and service demand.

Procurement experience and working knowledge of ERP are highly desired.

Highlights:

  • 6-month contract role with the possibility of extension or permanent hire
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Pay Rate: $25-30/hr
  • Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift
  • Located in Madison, WI

Responsibilities:

  • Update master data in the ERP system for procurement activities
  • Execute transactional requirements and demands per the Material Requirements Planning system
  • Communicate with suppliers on requests for quotes and purchase orders
  • Attend cross-functional meetings and assist with data needed to achieve organizational requirements and deadlines
  • Learn transactional requirements and demand plans to update cross-functional teams
  • Measure and report on various key performance indicators (KPIs)

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Computer proficiency including the use of standard office software programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email applications)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move physical inventory weighing up to 10 pounds
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification is preferred
  • Experience in materials/production management, including Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and bill of materials is a plus
